Account deletion
You can request deletion of your skriv.ist account and all associated data at any time. To do so, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line Account Deletion Request. Sign-in uses vigil.center single sign-on, which does not share your email address with skriv.ist — so please include the account name shown in the app under Settings ("Signed in as …"), and send the request from the email address you use for your vigil.center account so we can verify it belongs to you.
We will delete the following data within 30 days:
- Your account profile and authentication record
- All books uploaded to your cloud library
- Reading progress, bookmarks, highlights, and settings
- API keys and subscription entitlements managed by us
Some information may be retained longer if required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention, accounting, or enforcing our Terms. Local data stored on your device can be removed by clearing the app's data or uninstalling the app.

How do I install skriv.ist as an app?
skriv.ist works as a Progressive Web App (PWA). Open app.skriv.ist in a supported browser and use the browser's "Install" or "Add to Home Screen" option.
Does skriv.ist work offline?
Yes. Once books are loaded, they are cached locally and can be read without an internet connection. Your reading progress will sync when you reconnect.
What file formats are supported?
skriv.ist supports EPUB files. You can upload books from your device or connect remote OPDS catalogs and Calibre libraries on supported plans.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Open the Settings panel in the app and choose "Manage account" to view billing details, update payment methods, or cancel your subscription.
Is my reading data private?
Yes. We do not sell your data or use it to train models. Your uploaded books and reading progress are stored only to provide sync and offline access. See our Privacy Policy for details.
